…on this night I spoke to the Silicon Valley Project Managers’ Institure. They have a monthly series at which they get to earn training points related to their professional certification. My job was to inform or enlighten them, and have them be entertained for the evening.
…I knew that if I kept playing for it, I’d be able to speak in the Toastmasters Spring International Speech contest. What that would take is that I’d have to win a contest at my club level, then also at the Area level. Then I could address a large audience at the Division and District level.
…on this date, we had the Schoolhouse Earth volunteer party and barbecue at Robin Couvillion’s home. Avis, her children, Amy, Megan, James, Robin and I were there along with Robin’s winsome dog Chloe. (Her dog is really not named Chloe, but I’m going to claim that until I get it clear for myself what the dog’s real name is..)
…I can’t communicate completely the elegance of this April Fools prank, because some of it is simply inside humor that would only be funny to the people who deliver training for Landmark Education. But I can say some things about it that reflect the fun that the morning brought.
